2. I.V. Infusion Set

Definition:

An I.V. Infusion Set is a medical device used to deliver fluids, nutrients, or medications directly into a patient’s bloodstream via an I.V. Cannula.

Components:

  • Drip Chamber: Allows fluid flow visualization and prevents air bubbles.

  • Fluid Filter: Filters out any particles or air bubbles.

  • Roller Clamp: Controls the flow rate of the fluid.

  • Luer Lock Connector: Ensures secure attachment to the cannula.
